Percentage-to-GPA conversion varies by country and by target US university. The most widely used mapping aligns with WES:

Country-specific notes:
- UK/India: First-class honours typically maps to 4.0; 2:1 maps to ~3.7; 2:2 maps to ~3.0.
- Germany: Modified Bavarian formula or per-university table. A 1.0-2.5 German grade typically maps to 4.0-3.0.
- Latin America: Many systems use 0-10 or 0-100. Direct percentage mapping usually applies.
- China: Tsinghua-style 0-100 maps roughly by the WES table above.
